Turtle Fest is a celebration of sea turtle nesting season, with the goal to educate participants about sea turtle friendly beach and lighting practices. Turtle Fest will highlight the turtle friendly lighting program, the Flip the Switch Campaign, and the updated Sea Turtle Nesting Protection Ordinance. Come see MORAES tabling and learn how you can protect sea turtle nests this season!

Ocean Awareness Week

OAW Activities Fair March 24th, 11am-3pm
The University of Miami hosts Ocean Awareness Week annually to raise awareness around the oceans, issues impacting them, and how we can make a difference as a community to support our marine environments. MORAES will be tabling at the Activities Fair in Lakeside Patio on March 24th. Come learn more about the conservation work MORAES does and how you can get involved!
OAW Virtual Career Fair March 25th, 4pm-6pm
The Ocean Awareness Week Career Fair highlights careers, research, and organizations focused on ocean conservation, marine science, sustainability, and related fields. MORAES will be speaking about careers in marine conservation and how people can get involved locally in marine conservation.

Turtlepalooza is a celebration of sea turtles and coastal conservation. The event will kick off with a beach cleanup followed by an Eco Village of local conservation organizations. Come visit MORAES in the Eco Village and learn more about sea turtle nesting season and conservation!
